Becoming The Administrative User
If you have been approved as an administrator, you should be able to run the following command from a terminal on the administrative node. (Assume USERNAME is your username on the cluster.)
$ sudo -i [sudo] password for USERNAME: #
The requested password is the password for your account. If it is successful, the prompt will change from a $ to a #.
Please be careful.
